How to Set Up VAST

Set up VAST and start monetizing!

After adding your show to our platform, the next step is to set up VAST so our ads can be inserted on your show.

What is VAST?

VAST stands for “Video Ad Serving Template”. This technology allows for structuring ad tags that serve ads to video players. Using the XML markup schema, VAST transfers important metadata about an ad from the ad server to a video player.

At a high level, VAST is a way to allow one ad server to ‘call’ another ad server. It can used in place of individual ad audio files for a campaign or alternatively as a way to connect with external ad buyers, including programmatic platforms.

How to Set Up VAST

Luckily, VAST only needs to be set up just the one time. Once you have it enabled, you’re good to go!

You should see a yellow banner with a red link prompting you to set up VAST:

Click the red Setup and verify VAST link and follow the on-screen instructions. Reach out to our Support team if you run into any trouble.
