How to Configure Your RAP Profile

Set up your RAP Profile to start earning on OpenRAP!

By now you’ve added your show, set up VAST, and connected your bank to your Stripe Express account. The final step is to set up your RAP Profile so you match with the right advertisers.

Get Started

Click the red Get Started button to start creating your RAP Profile:

Host-Read Ads

Mark the checkbox next to Host-Read Ads to enable host-read ads on RAP. From there, enter in your preferred CPM (cost per thousand downloads) for your Pre-Roll, Mid-Roll, and Post-Roll positions. If you enter an amount that’s higher or lower than the recommended CPM, then our system automatically notifies you and provides suggested rates.

Promo Code

Enter a unique Promo Code that you want advertisers to utilize for campaigns.

Hosts

Some brands may want to send you free samples of their product prior to the ad read. Fill out this section with your preferred address for samples:

We only share your address with advertisers who indicate that they ship product samples. We also don’t share that information until you accept the campaign!

Listeners

Otherwise known as “demographics”, this section asks you to break down your listeners based on their gender and age. Adding listener demographics is crucial. This is one of the most important pieces of information that a brand uses to determine if your show is the right “fit” for their target audience.

You can find the breakdown of your listeners’ demographics on your Spotify for Podcasters dashboard. Click on the Audience page and filter the data by “All Time”. Scroll down to the Gender and Age sections. If, for some reason, you don’t have access to Spotify for Podcasters, then simply give the best guess as a starting point. You can always come back and edit your profile later.

Social Media

Finally, be sure to include links to your social media pages (especially if you’re active on them.) You can use your own personal accounts or accounts created for your podcast. This provided information helps brands better understand your audience and influence. It’s best to choose the accounts that are most active and have the highest engagement.

You can choose to block specific advertising categories for better control over who can even send you a Brand Inquiry:
